Over the weekend, Provincial Director Mehmet Salih Söğüt visited the Babil Biogas Electricity Generation Plant operating within the Specialized Livestock OIZ. He received detailed information about the plant’s operations, generation capacity, and its contribution to the region.

In presentations made by plant managers, the process of converting waste into electricity via biogas and its environmental benefits were explained. The Provincial Director also met with employees and shared his assessments of the project.

Discussions covered the plant’s current generation capacity, the organic fertilizer support provided to local farmers, and goals in sustainable energy. The evaluations highlighted the plant’s contribution to Şanlıurfa’s energy and environmental policies.

At the end of the visit, on-site inspections were carried out. Emphasizing that the Babil Biogas Plant is an important investment for Şanlıurfa, Director Söğüt thanked all who contributed.
